Job Summary & Responsibilities

Americas Special Situations Group (AmSSG) is an investing and lending business focused on providing capital to companies in both private and public markets. The group specializes in fundamental value analysis and has a number of private capital investment strategies which include middle market direct lending, investing in asset intensive industries, portfolios of assets, and distressed credit. Across strategies, the group focuses on leveraging its deep industry knowledge and fundamental credit, distressed, corporate, and asset valuation techniques to create attractive risk adjusted returns.

SSG’s Multi-Strategy Investing Group (MSI) invests across the capital structure in public companies (e.g. bank debt, bonds, or equity) and will also explore / structure opportunistic private transactions. MSI has a broad industry focus and operates with a value-oriented investing approach.

Basic Qualifications

Trading, sales, or back/middle office experience within the financial industry
2-4 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented candidates with strong accounting, finance, and problem solving skills
Strong combination of organizational and interpersonal/communication skills
Keen interest in the financial markets and good commercial instincts
Emerging market or structured credit experience
