YOUR IMPACT

The European Principal Market Making trading desk is seeking a highly motivated candidate to focus on market making in single stock equity derivatives and managing both equity volatility and delta risk. The desk, seeks to centralize single stock equity risk across the floor amongst a selection of experienced market makers to proactively manage inventory around/and-in anticipation of a client demand/supply.

The desk is the hub of single stock equity risk across the European equity franchise. The team is divided amongst sub-sectors with each individual focusing on a particular portion of the broader European market across all of Western Europe. Each individual is required to market make single stock and sector index equity derivatives on behalf of clients. Each trader must manage their sector level exposures in order to maximize the inventory risk of each particular book. The desk’s broad mandate allows for exposure to cross asset class risk and lateral thinking regarding optimized hedging. Desk has a flat reporting structure and a close-knit team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Diverse backgrounds either with deep analytical skills and/or risk taking experience from a trading, private equity, banking, asset management or hedge fund background
- Relevant experience as either 2-3 year analyst, associate or junior VP
- Micro sector/stock level experience
- Relevant industry knowledge regarding a particular subset of sectors
- Experience with analysing companies (fundamental + technical)
