YOUR IMPACT

The successful candidate will sit with the Sales team and be responsible for ensuring all legal documentation, KYC, AML and new accounts are in place ahead of trading. This is a client facing role and therefore impeccable client facing skills, verbal and written communicate are essential.

The Franchise New Business Group (FNBG) is the central point of contact for all aspects of client on-boarding/account opening.  FNBG team members are aligned with specific sales desks and work closely with sales coverage, legal, credit risk, compliance and clients to ensure an effective and smooth on-boarding process.  Team members are expected to play a key role in client relationship management and understanding dynamic changes in commercial demands of the business they are aligned to.

HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in Investment Banking, legal documentation and process reengineering. The candidate must be willing to learn on the job, pick things up quickly, be proactive, conscientious and has a positive can do attitude.

You will also be required to:

- Be the first point of contact for clients on new business on-boarding requests
- Efficiently communicate with the respective client departments to gather all necessary information
- Work closely with Sales to prioritize on-boarding requests and communicate that to all internal teams (Legal, Credit and Operations)
- Drive forward and monitor progress of each on-boarding request and clearly escalate if there are issues
- Be the coordination point across a number of teams and stakeholders
- Constantly look for strategic improvements in the process
- Communicate progress and escalate issues to the stakeholders each week
- Have good working knowledge of i) ISDA CSAs and ii) KYC/AML/Regs

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Strong academic record with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- Prior investment banking/financial services industry experience essential
- Experience of documentation and streamlining/improving processes required
- Knowledge and experience of KYC processes (including conducting analysis, checks and profile generation) required
- Experience of ISDA/CSA processes (including negotiation and execution) required
- Must have ability and experience of collaborating with internal/external teams e.g. bankers/operations/legal counsel
- Strong portfolio, stakeholder and client management experience required
- Must be a self-starter with ability and desire to work within a team
- Must have strong communication (verbal and written) and organisation skills
- Proven attention to detail skills is critical
- Proactive attitude and persistence in all tasks required
- Driving outstanding issues to closure is imperative
