We’re looking for a professional to join our Realty Management Division Vendor Management team who could use their skills and knowledge of consumer loan origination and servicing and/or regulatory compliance to provide excellent oversight and risk management of vendor relationships.

OUR IMPACT

The Realty Management Division (RMD) leverages proven best practices, team experience, and market knowledge in delivering investment and asset management services. RMD provides loan and real estate investment services and asset management to investments where Goldman Sachs has an interest, serving as a partner to other divisions across the firm, including Merchant Banking, Securities and Investment Management. The Realty Management Division has offices in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

The RMD Vendor Management team is responsible for establishing and maintaining policies that govern the engagement of third party vendors and management of third party vendor risk.  This role is specific to management of third party risk for vendors engaged to support the firm’s real estate and consumer loan investments.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Assist in the management of   relationships with vendors through direct and frequent contact.  Vendors may include loan servicers, property managers, due diligence providers, consultants and similar service providers.  Internally, the role will work closely with Global Compliance, Legal, Merchant Banking, Securities, Investment Management, and Technology Risk.
• Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures and oversight program for engagement and management of third party vendors and associated consumer risk exposure
• Assist with  sourcing and initial due diligence and risk assessment of potential vendors
• Perform oversight and participate in targeted audits to ensure vendor compliance with legal requirements, firm and industry standards and contractual provisions
• Evaluate vendor performance, practices and control environment  to minimize the firm’s  exposure to regulatory and reputational risk
• Monitor to completion remediation strategies undertaken for identified risks and performance deficiencies
• Develop reports and presentations for   management and related Committees
• Keep up to date with European regulatory environment, actions, guidance and industry practices  

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years’ experience in consumer or residential real estate based loan servicing, lending, or property management businesses, vendor management, or real estate related regulatory, legal or compliance roles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with external vendors and internal stakeholders
• Excellent communications skills including European language skills (Spanish, Dutch, Italian preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment in a highly regulated environment
• A strong team player able to work efficiently and effectively, handling multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure
• Ability to travel required
