Our collateral Management team is seeking a professional who is looking to collaborate with Clients, Credit Risk, Sales, Controllers, Traders, Strategists and Structurers to mitigate risks associated with the Collateral management functions.

Collateral Management, part of Margin, Valuations & Pricing Operations sits within the Goldman Sachs Liquidity and Collateral Operations organization. A global, multi-faceted and cross product function, the primary objective of the department is the mitigation of counterparty credit risk through the active monitoring of clients’ derivative and securities financing portfolios.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
We are looking for a Team Manager to manage the Portfolio Reconciliation team.  This role requires liaising with Credit, Controllers, Operations teams and other various stakeholders to ensure the reconciliation of positions and portfolios in the OTC Derivative space.  The team manages a variety of products within OTC derivatives and is responsible for resolving MTM valuation discrepancies and reporting those discrepancies in a timely manner to the applicable regulator.  Derivative product knowledge a strong preference.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Liaise with clients in order to track and resolve position discrepancies.
.• Consolidate requests in order to communicate pricing  and position issues with Controllers, Credit and Middle Office teams.
• Deliver position reports to clients and 3rd party vendors on a timely fashion and in compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Constantly recommend and develop more efficient methods of price consolidation and delivery.
• Plan and execute workflow and team direction in conjunction with Margin Rules regulations.
• Engage Counterparty risk, Credit, and others to resolve disputes by liaising with clients, Sales and Controllers.

Basic Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years of experience in financial services.
• Proven analytical skills, problem solving ability, and a control mentality paired with meticulous attention to detail.
• Aptitude for building relationships and ability to communicate complex issues to a wide array of internal clients with differing levels of product experience.
• Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes ownership and accountability of projects, has strong organizational skills as well as the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
• Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• The role is client facing so the VP will require strong communication skills and should be highly articulate.
• Evidence of experience working within Financial Services with exposure to over the counter derivatives.
