The Loan Servicing team VP role is an opportunity for a dynamic individual to manage a team of 5 -7 individuals, providing functional oversight, as well as, being responsible for people management (including providing regular feedback to help individuals achieve their career goals and aspirations).

The Loans Servicing Team sits within Banking, Investing and Lending Operations and supports various GS business teams with the origination, syndication, and secondary market trading of performing and non-performing loans. While loans are the primary product supported, the business continues to expand into other areas such as structured products, and private equities.
The Servicing team works in partnership with various GS business teams to ensure efficient execution and settlement of new issues when GS is acting in an Agent and/or Lender capacity on Syndicated and Bilateral loans. The team are responsible for monitoring and managing the risk undertaken by the Bank Loans Agency business in Europe including the reputational risk of acting on behalf of a syndicate of other financial institutions.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL:
• Drafting, reviewing & negotiating transfer documents (including trade confirms & transfer certificates)
• Liaising with Legal, Compliance, Credit, Trading Desks, Agency and Servicing teams to ensure necessary approvals are obtained, pricing/cashflows are agreed and reconciled and settled within our system.
• Responsible for primary new loan issuance settlement and funding
• Providing ongoing support for existing deals, ensuring funds are paid and received on time
• Liaising with borrowers, lenders and external agents in respect of rollovers, rate fixings, repayments
• Invoicing and processing of interest, repayments and fees on GS Agented deals or Bilateral loans
• Processing external payments and validating payment instructions with our counterparts
• Managing regular information flows between borrowers and lenders as well as handling any waivers or amendments to existing agreements
• Effectively reviewing and processing transfers between lenders. These may be entirely third party to GS or with GS as one side of the transfer.
• Ensuring the register of lenders and GS books and records are accurate at all times
• Review and navigation of Loan Credit Agreements and ancillary documentation

Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge and previous experience of Bank Loans Servicing or Agency activity
• Knowledge and previous experience of payment processing and payment instruction maintenance
• Experience of navigating Loan Credit Agreements
