Job Summary & Responsibilities

GSAM Third Party Distribution (TPD) is responsible for the sales, sourcing, marketing and ongoing client support for products offered by the Goldman Sachs through third party intermediaries, such as banks, trust companies, broker-dealers and registered investment advisors.

This role falls within the Strategic Advisory Solutions (SAS) team of TPD. SAS offers a suite of integrated solutions designed to help our clients grow and enhance their business. SAS’ global team of experienced strategists aims to deliver in-depth expertise to help clients understand dynamic markets, design well-diversified strategic portfolios, and implement industry best practices through programs tailored to each organization.

The individual in this role will be responsible for helping to drive the production of content and thought leadership in support of SAS strategists, and in support of a broader mission of providing solutions to our clients as well as the investing public. The individual will support the creation of articles, brochures, and other thought leadership pieces.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven superior writing skills targeting retail investors and financial intermediaries
• 3 years+ experience in the asset management industry and/or financial journalism
• Experience covering and a strong understanding of the global liquidity space (e.g., money market funds and other cash-management solutions)
• Demonstrated interest in global markets, portfolio construction and the business of financial advice
• Instinct for finding insights which resonate with investors, ability to exercise sound news judgment
• Collaborative mindset; strong initiative combined with good interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully with others to accomplish an objective
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and to develop a clear, compelling story
• Ability to work well under deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Mutual fund product knowledge and marketing experience
• Demonstrated experience under deadline pressure in a collaborative environment
• Passion for and expert-level knowledge of global liquidity management and money market reform
• Experience with/knowledge of FINRA rules and Compliance requirements of asset-management communications
