The UK Institutional Business is responsible for new business development and managing existing institutional client relationships. Clients include pension plans, local government, corporations, financial institutions, foundations and endowments. We are looking for a highly competent individual to work in the team covering UK Institutional clients, based in London.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a 12 month fixed-term-contract maternity cover role

- Managing existing relationships with selected clients and their field consultants
- Proactively servicing existing clients to provide resolution to their various enquiries
- Organising portfolio reviews. Coordinating the preparation of review materials in conjunction with the Product/Portfolio Management teams
- Working closely with clients to ensure strength in their relationship with GSAM, with a key focus on retention of assets
- Acting as the clients' point of access into GSAM and the wider organization
- Developing the team’s understanding of clients’ objectives, strategy and information needs
- Interacting with GSAM portfolio management and strategists to keep abreast of clients’ investments, new products and investment themes
- Developing strong productive and collaborative relationships internally across various GSAM product teams, including Fixed Income & Currency, Liquidity, Equity, Quantitative Strategies, Alternative Investments and Multi-Asset, as well as legal, compliance and operations

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum MBA qualified
- Previous experience in Investment Management
- Prior skills and experiences of working at Associate level within global organisations  
- Demonstrable experience in research and preparation of reports
- Strong investment product knowledge
- Experience of managing teams of analysts etc.
- Developing and planning roadshows
- Conducting due-diligence for investment mandates
- Proven ability to develop client relationships, preferably with experience working across major asset classes
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, oral and written, with both clients and internal contacts
- Team-oriented and self-motivated
- Strong attention to detail
