Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Australian Fund Services team is responsible for the oversight of GSAM’s Australian domiciled managed funds.  The Team interacts very closely with the external service providers, the Funds’ Board of Directors (internal and external) as well as with all internal teams connected with setup, running and oversight of the funds.  Where the team is involved with the day to day oversight of the funds the role will be varied and will allow the candidate to interact with a wide range of internal and external teams (both domestically and internationally located) and be involved in a diverse range of tasks and projects.  

Main Responsibilities

Fund Events/Change Management Support
• Coordinate launch of new funds
• Coordinate restructures, closures & other fund events
• Involvement in a wide range of ad-hoc projects, e.g. review buy / sell spreads, new instrument setups

Strategic Vendor Management
• On-going oversight of key external service providers
• Performance review and issue resolution
• Coordinate service reviews and enhancements
• Monitoring service levels

Corporate Governance
• Preparing for internal GSAM working groups and committees
• Preparing for Fund Board Meetings

Basic Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to deal with people at all levels both internally and externally
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set own priorities
• An ability to work to tight deadlines and with activities and targets which may change at short notice
• Fund experience either working in a Fund Administration role or similar function
• A high level of accuracy and the ability to maintain this standard while under pressure from deadlines is required
• Highly motivated individual and self-starter with a proven background of delivery
• Ability to interact with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures
• Attainment of a degree or equivalent, or relevant industry experience
