The Global Fixed Income Product Management Team is focused on the strategic development, growth and positioning of our fixed income product offerings.  The primary responsibilities of Request for Proposal (“RFP”) Writers within the Product team are the coordination and completion of RFPs/Due Diligence Questionnaires (“DDQs”) through the full RFP lifecycle. The Writer works closely with portfolio management to communicate product offerings, investment philosophy, portfolio positioning, and our views on the market environment to the client via the RFP questionnaires.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and complete high quality RFPs and RFIs from prospective clients, consultants, and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develop Product Knowledge - gain understanding of Fixed Income & Currency markets and develop product specialization in one or more sectors:  Money Markets, Municipals, Credit, Core, Emerging Market Debt, Currency, and Hedge Funds.
• Develop strong working relationships with portfolio management teams, sales professionals, client relationship managers, and other groups.
• Work closely with RFP writer counterparts in other offices.
• Complete various data requests from internal teams seeking GSAM-wide information such as Assets under Management and Personnel figures.

Basic Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for fixed income and good understanding of fixed income markets
• Highly skilled analytically
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• General understanding of asset management
• Ability to multi-task, work to numerous deadlines and perform well under pressure
• Demonstrable ability to learn quickly
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and ability to work successfully  within a team environment
• Comprehensive technical skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
