The Alternative Investments & Manager Selection (AIMS) Group provides investors with investment and advisory solutions, across leading hedge fund managers, private equity funds, real estate managers, public equity strategies fixed income strategies and ESG integrated and impact investments. The AIMS Group manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-fund investments, strategic partnerships, secondary market investments, co-investments, and seed-capital investments.
We extend these global capabilities to the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations, and family offices, for which we invest or advise on over $165 billion of alternative investments, public equity strategies and fixed income strategies.
AIMS is seeking to add an Analyst to its ESG emerging markets team. We are seeking a highly motivated investment professional to support the growth of our ESG business.
Responsibilities
• Stay abreast of major macro developments and changes within the various emerging markets
• Source, assess, and execute on potential ESG investment opportunities in emerging markets
• Analyze and present opportunities and risks inherent in potential ESG investments across specific sectors and markets
• Diligence and evaluate managers and co-investment opportunities in emerging markets
• Develop and present investments to the Investment Committee through written and oral presentations, and required follow-up
• Monitor the performance and risk profile of existing investments in the emerging markets portfolio
• Assist with strategic business development opportunities, including preparing presentation materials for client meetings or industry conferences
Basic Qualifications
• 2-3 years of professional work experience, preferably in the fields of finance or consulting (buy-side experience a plus)
• Experience in financial modeling and quantitative analysis preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Interest in issues related to impact investing in emerging markets, (on-the-ground experience a plus)
• Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment
• Project management abilities
• Highly organized; attention to detail and excellent follow-through required
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills
