Job Summary & Responsibilities

Global Portfolio Solutions, “GPS” is a multi-asset class investing group that sits within the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs. GPS is responsible for managing customized multi-asset class portfolios and providing outsourced CIO services. The team comprises of professionals with deep and varied investment backgrounds who specialize in designing and implementing customized multi-asset class portfolios. The team applies rigorous techniques to strategic and tactical asset allocation, asset-liability analysis, portfolio design and implementation, risk management, and portfolio reporting and analytics. The team has been managing customized multi-asset class mandates since 1995 as a committed partner to corporate pensions, sovereign wealth funds, healthcare organizations, endowments, foundations, and government institutions.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate would be supporting the Lead Portfolio Management team within Global Portfolio Solutions, responsible for the design and management of multi asset class portfolios. This role is highly analytical, focusing on developing and constructing customized solutions for clients. The primary responsibility would be focusing on multi asset class solutions for institutions in our Partnership Portfolios channel.

The core responsibilities of the role include:
• Serve as member supporting the lead portfolio managers in the Partnerships team for current GPS client portfolios
• Develop portfolio recommendations including customized asset allocation and portfolio implementation
• Participate in client prospecting activities such as request for proposals, presentations, client material, portfolio reviews, reporting and analytics

Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of investment management experience
• Quantitative analysis and skillset
• Detail oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• A self-starter able to work independently and thrive in a team environment
• Intelligent, creative, with good problem-solving abilities
• Client-focused mentality with ability to communicate complex ideas and strategies
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Strong interest in the financial markets and a good investment and commercial awareness
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg or financial data systems knowledge preferred
• CFA preferred (including current participation in program)
