The Position
The Consumer Retail Healthcare investment banking group is looking for an Analyst to join the team in New York.

The group provides insights and services covering a wide range of industries across both consumer retail and healthcare.  

With experts in offices around the world, the team helps clients with a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and other equity offerings, debt underwriting, hybrid instruments, risk management, credit advisory and other financial services. Investment Banking analysts at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. Analysts create and analyze financial models, performing scenario analyses to examine the effects of client alternatives. In addition, analysts organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. Analysts participate in and conduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financial transactions. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our analysts are a vital part of Goldman Sachs’ banking teams.

Expertise and Skills:

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of relevant work experience at a top-tier investment bank (or related field)

Preferred Qualifications
• Top class ranking at previous employer
• Excellent quantitative and analytical ability
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• A proven ability to think commercially about the needs of the client
• Strong team orientation, and a proven ability to work effectively with multiple different teams to solve problems
