Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Human Capital Management (HCM) Division comprises of divisionally aligned business partner teams and centres of excellence who advise and support the recruitment, retention and development of the firm's people.  The business partners support specific divisions on their strategic people needs across the organisation, with significant connectivity to global divisional business partner teams. The centres of excellence include groups such as Employee Relations who act as the internal consulting group to all levels of employees and management; the Office of Global Leadership and Diversity who help drive the firms commitment to attracting and retaining the best and most diverse talent at all levels; Pine Street and Goldman Sachs University who are committed to helping our people progress through learning and development interventions; Recruiting who seek to attract and hire graduate and experienced talent to the firm; Reward who manage the compensation and benefits for employees; Talent Assessment Group who manages the planning, development and talent management processes; Strategy and Management which provides HCM related services and counsel for HCM and Finance who assist in the operation of the division.

This role in the Business Partner team is part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment that offers the opportunity for a Senior Analyst/Associate to provide business partner support to HCM clients and manage country specific external HR stakeholders and processes. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to learn and succeed in a hands-on, high-volume and challenging role. The role will include the full spectrum of HCM talent management processes and people development priorities including talent acquisition, annual reviews, performance management and diversity.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Responsible for administration and analytical support of key HCM processes including on- and off-boarding, performance review, promotion, compensation, employee relations and headcount reporting
• Manage day to day HR requests; research and respond to questions from managers and employees
• Work closely with functional HCM teams in the region to ensure effective delivery of recruiting, professional development, diversity programs, benefits and wellness
• Build/maintain relationship with assigned external HR stakeholders and manage related processes and procedures.  Examples of stakeholders in China include government bureaus, regulators, FESCO, benefits vendors etc.
• Partner with leadership of assigned divisions to identify key people priorities and develop programs or initiatives to support
• Ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• High level of maturity, able to manage confidential or sensitive information with impeccable judgment
• Strong attention to details, highly organized with excellent follow-through and delivery
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships across all levels internally and externally
• Client service focus, able to multi task and stay calm under pressure
• Team player, able to partner well with Business Partners in the local and regional teams
• Strong self-initiative, willing to pick up new or share additional assignments as required
• Strong verbal and written English and Chinese language skills
• Proficient in using Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Access)
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred
