Job Summary & Responsibilities
The APAC Benefits and Wellness team is responsible for employee retirement, medical, insurance
and wellness programs in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New
Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Country Ownership:
Serve as the benefits and wellness expert and primary contact for one or more APAC countries;
co‐ordinate employee communications and stakeholder postings; coordinate monthly and
annual processes (i.e., payroll deductions/contributions, medical annual enrollment);
manage vendors. This may include responding to employee inquiries for certain countries.
• Process/Program Ownership:
Work with the Benefits and Wellness team, regional HCM colleagues, internal colleagues and
external vendors to manage employee retirement and insurance benefit and wellness programs.
• Process Review/Re‐engineering:
Review existing processes to identify streamlining opportunities; partner with technology team
to evaluate and leverage internal/external resources
• Project Management:
Work with manager, team and internal stakeholders to create and manage project plans;
evaluate and revise deadlines to ensure timely delivery of critical items; take complete
ownership of projects and tasks
• Benefits and Wellness Advisory:
Conduct internal and external benchmarking; liaise with external consultants; evaluate existing
programs and explore new innovative ideas; formulate recommendations and present to
internal stakeholders; implement recommended changes
The ideal candidate will leverage their Asia benefits and wellness expertise to:
- Take complete ownership of the benefit and wellness programs for one or more APAC countries
- Benchmark and evaluate existing programs/policies and make recommendations as needed
- Identify, design and implement new and innovative programs
- Partner with regional and global counterparts to deliver coordinated services to clients
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand their business requirements
- Effectively leverage third party providers and technology solutions
This position has a considerable amount of interaction with the global benefits and wellness teams,
other Human Capital Management teams and non‐HCM teams such as tax, legal, financial
accounting, etc. Effective communication and teamwork is a must.
Basic Qualifications
Experience and Skillset:
• Minimum 2 years of Asia benefits, wellness, compensation or generalist or human resource consulting experience (financial industry experience a plus but not required)
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship management skills (written and oral) with ability to lead meetings, create communications, and present to key stakeholders
• Excellent organizational and management skills
• Proven analytical skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Fluency in English; fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus
