Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) Global Fixed Income Product Management team is focused on the strategic development, growth and positioning of our fixed income product offerings. The product management function is integrated within the portfolio management team and is focused on enabling our distribution channels to win and retain fixed income clients through regular communications, strategy updates and marketing initiatives. The product management team works closely with portfolio management to communicate product offerings, portfolio positioning, and current market environment to different GSAM distribution channels.

The primary responsibilities of the Request for Proposal (RFP) Writer within the Global Fixed Income Product  Management team is to complete RFPs/RFIs and to manage the entire process through the full RFP lifecycle. The RFP specialist works closely with portfolio management to communicate product offerings, investment philosophy, portfolio positioning, and our views on the market environment to the client via the RFP questionnaires.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Project manage, coordinate and complete high quality RFPs and RFIs from prospective clients, consultants, and existing clients in a timely and accurate manner. Balance multiple deadlines and demanding stakeholders.
• Specialise in and quickly develop knowledge of, Fixed Income and Currency Markets.
• Help develop language and answers to client queries, covering all aspects of the GSAM fixed income investment process and product range.
• Develop strong working relationships with portfolio management teams, sales professionals, client relationship managers, and other groups in offices across the globe.

Experience/Skills:
• General understanding of asset management
• Enthusiasm for fixed income; prior fixed income experience a plus
• Highly skilled analytically
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism and ability to work successfully  within a global team environment
• Comprehensive technical skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
