Job Summary & Responsibilities
The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs' finances and expenditures.
Through careful consideration and analyses of firm finances, objectives and strategies, we ensure that the firm's businesses continue to be profitable and efficiently run. Controllers also ensure that all business practices are in compliance with financial and regulatory requirements worldwide. Since contact with virtually every part of the firm is essential to Controllers, professionals in the department experience Goldman Sachs businesses, products and sophisticated technology systems in depth.
Job Summary & Responsibilities:
•Maintenance of the firm’s books and records.
•Perform monthly ledger closing procedures for USGAAP, IFRS and tax reporting.
•Ability to analyze deals/transactions and understand the impact to accounting, funding and other operational matters
•Perform daily control functions of financing reporting and ensure that financial reporting is of high quality and meets applicable accounting principles and regulations.
•Handling enquiries from and liaising with various stakeholders in other departments to maintain appropriate control and accuracy.
•conduct regular reviews for new, as well as existing, transactions for accounting treatment and control considerations across various types of investments,
•Manage the quarterly Balance Sheet substantiation & SOX process
•Work closely and effectively with other Federation teams, including Product Control, Operations, Tax, Technology and Corporate Treasury
Basic Qualifications
•Qualified accountant.
•Minimum three years of experience in the audit or finance field.
•Good knowledge in MS Excel, Office, Word.
•Good written and reading skills in both traditional and simplified Chinese.
Preferred Qualifications
•Proven time management and organization skills.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
•Strong character and control mindset, able to work under pressure
•Self confidence to interact with demanding internal clients.
•Excellent PC skills and highly numerate
•Willing to take on extra responsibilities
•Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.
