BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW
The Executive Office is comprised of several groups including Alumni Relations, Brand and Content Strategy, Internal Communications, International Management, Media Relations, the Office of Corporate Engagement (OCE), Investor Relations, Environmental Markets, Government Affairs and the Office of the Chairman. As a division, the Executive Office maintains and promotes the Goldman Sachs culture both within and outside of the firm.
The Office of Corporate Engagement coordinates the global philanthropic efforts of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. including impact investment, strategic partnerships, charitable giving, and employee volunteerism. It comprises of the GS Foundation, Goldman Sachs Gives, 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, Community TeamWorks (CTW) and other philanthropic endeavors as occur from time to time.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to fill a full time position in the Office of Corporate Engagement in London. Ideally, the candidate should have at least one years’ experience in a similar or related field, with particular experience in project management. A background in the field of entrepreneurship is preferred, but is not a pre requisite.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Delivery
• Help identify, design and develop new opportunities within the UK Small Business and Entrepreneurship space, including, but not limited to, 10,000 Small Businesses.
• Be a core part of the team responsible for delivering the 10,000 Small Businesses programme, including liaising with Goldman Sachs programme delivery partners and the 10,000 Small Business Community.
• Play an active role in developing and managing other OCE programmes as may be developed from time to time.
• Involvment in monitoring and evaluation for OCE programmes.
• Ensure all programmes are developed and run according to the rigorous business principles that Goldman Sachs applies to all its work.
Thought Leadership
• Ensure all programmatic evidence is used effectively to drive the public debate and awareness around the relevant issue.
• Remain abreast of all developments in the UK Small Business and Entrepreneurship space to ensure 10,000 Small Businesses is recognized as a key part of this debate.
• Support in the strategic philanthropy endeavours undertaken by Goldman Sachs.
• Prepare content and briefings for OCE related events, as well as support in event outreach.

EXPERIENCE
• Excellent understanding of the role of philanthropy and corporate engagement
• Strong team player with ability to remain calm under pressure
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to develop and manage budgets
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; attention to detail is a must
• Excellent interpersonal skills in person, on phone, and by email and voicemail
• Flexible and willing to work extended hours when required
• Highly self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in team
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word for presentations and data analysis
• Highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion required
