Job Summary & Responsibilities
Business Supported: Global Investment Research Division (GIR). Goldman Sachs’ Global Investment Research division delivers value-added research to clients in the equity, fixed income, currency and commodities markets. GIR produces original, fundamental research and analysis of industries, companies and economies. GIR teams continually identify and analyze financial information, strategic issues and trends that affect companies, industries and markets on a regional and global scale.
Region Covered: Seat will be in Bengaluru. Coverage will be global (Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific).
General Description of Role:
This role will involve working with the global GIR Compliance team on surveillance and training, as well as daily interactions with research analysts and colleagues in other Compliance areas for advisory purposes. The analyst should be able to adapt to a changing regulatory environment, think independently and exercise judgment in complicated situations, and also take the lead in innovating new projects and areas for the team to explore.
Responsibilities:
• Controls/Surveillance/Testing. Create controls, conduct routine surveillance, roll-out surveillances and monitor testing of policies and procedures.
• Advisory. Have strong familiarity with business practices and act as a resource on a daily basis for compliance, regulatory, policy and reputational issues.
• Training. Design, execute and deliver live and online training on divisional policies and procedures.
• Policies and Procedures. Ensure that the division has appropriate policies and procedures in place. Assess, design and drive completion of necessary upgrades, updates and new policies. Work closely with Legal and the business to fulfill requirements.
Basic Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years experience in securities industry

• Accurate and detail-oriented with sound judgment and integrity
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to clearly articulate ideas
• Highly motivated and adaptable,team player, ability to work on a team of diverse individuals over numerous jurisdictions
• Proactive, inquisitive and responsive; ability to identify and solve problems creatively and quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
