Job description
Gladiator Computers have been a respected source for high performance PC hardware since 1999. Today we are operating in a custom built state of the art business premises in Bellevue, Manchester, and we regularly feature award winning systems reviewed in leading IT magazines and trade journals. Our new website, launched in 2013 for selling Gladiator PC Systems, provides a configurator which allows customers to choose their components, peripherals and other options so that they can build a PC tailored to their needs.
Role overview
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be working closely with our Sales, Purchasing and IT Team to maximise sales and margin opportunities. You will also assist with the development, co-ordination and implementation of efficient marketing strategies.
We are looking for a highly motivated professional, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, and a "can do" attitude. The person will be expected to take on other duties at any given time as directed by the Managing Director.
Remuneration
Excellent salary depending on experience & performance based bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting our Product Managers to ensure our growing portfolio of products is presented in the best possible way across all customer facing channels and that all key product attributes are communicated clearly and effectively to the consumer.
- Daily Monitoring of Sales and Margin.
- Market and competitor research, analysing trends and identifying new opportunities.
- Monitoring of promotional activities, for effectiveness.
- Management of new Product Launches
- Designing, writing and executing promotional campaigns utilising a range of marketing tools focusing on adverts, e-shots, social media, the Aria website & forums
- Supporting the production of Videos and Content for You Tube and Other Social Channels.
- Ensuring the shop display is current and well presented with products and prices
- Responsibility for functionality and uploading content to the external projectors
- Controlling marketing funds promised, pending and received.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Business / Marketing qualification (degree or equivalent)
- Excellent IT, Numeracy and literacy skills
- 'Hands on’ work ethos and a flexible nature
- First class listening and organisation skills
- Understanding of Sales & Margin Metrics in a Retail Business
- Previous e-commerce / digital marketing experience
- Social Media experience
- Basic Knowledge of Google Analytics
- Ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
Desirable
- Good product and specific market knowledge
- Digital design experience
- Basic level experience of SEO, PPC, Affiliate Marketing
- Budget Management experience
