Job description

Mission

·  The Data Modeler’s main purpose is to design and build data models (datamarts, tabular/multidimensional models and Cognos frameworks) ment to drive improvements across data collection, data management and data governance resulting in improved efficiency, robustness and the ability for business lines to use our data as an asset
·  The main responsibilities are to gather business requirements and translate them into logical data models, and to create technical design specifications including source to target mapping documentation for ETL developers
·  Develop, maintain and govern conceptual, logical and physical data models and ensure consistency across workstreams
·  Perform analysis of new data feeds and map to existing data model
·  Design, test and maintain robust and scalable data models and ensure that data is correctly loaded into the system
·  Work with business specialists, understand processes and translate business specifications into technical requirements
·  Work together with developers, business analysts and product owners to ensure that new or modified models are designed and developed using industry standard best practice design and development practices
·  Proactively communicating data methodology, architecture, and results to a diverse set of stakeholders.

 

 

 

Profile

·  Minimum in the specialized field: 2 years ideally in financial and banking
·  3+ years of experience designing and implementing complex data solutions and models
·  3+ years of experience creating logical, physical and conceptual data models
·  5+ years in IT, Data Analysis, data manipulation
·  In-depth knowledge of industry standard techniques for data processing, data management, data delivery, data mining, data analysis
·  IT knowledge - SQL (on Oracle / other databases)
·  Understanding, at a detailed level, of all architectural dependencies of technologies in IT environments
·  Strong understanding of Datawarehouse and relational database concept
·  Strong understanding of Big Data concepts
·  Deep knowledge of Kimball and Inmon approaches and the core differences
·  High analytical abilities
·  General knowledge of the bank’s products and services / all banking products and services
·  Intermediate banking knowledge (at least in one domain – e.g. reporting, data management, business analytics, finance, reporting, controlling etc)
·  Excellent command of English
