Role Summary/Purpose
The GE Internship Program is an investment in young talents where GE trains students who meet the required criteria to perform their internship program in a corporate function. Program duration is 6 months. The program will develop the general skills of the intern with on the job knowledge and experience.
Internship Period will be between January & June.
Essential Responsibilities
• During the program GE will provide assignments, projects & tasks that is related to his/her major where the intern can develop Leadership Capabilities, communication skills and introduce them to the work environment.
• Involved in Pre or Post market duties or both. Work with a team of Regulatory Affairs (RA) professionals and provide support to ensure GEHC establishes and implements best practice processes and procedures in premarket and postmarket support. He/she ensures accurate and optimal submissions of regulatory reports that meet the requirements of the region or country.
• Monitor expiry dates and revisions of RA documents & Certificates, get new publications apostilled, apply to MoH on time with apostilled copy or for extension with soft copy not to lose any registration
• Work with Product RA (PRA) and Premarket Center of Excellence on submission preparation and tracking
• Keep TORUS database up to date with submission activities
• Ensure submitted documents (DoC’s, OM’s, labels) are up to date
• Stay in-line with business, ensure modalities and operations are well informed during any update to existing submissions
• Follow up and deliver New Product Introduction (NPI) submissions on time
• Evaluate design changes, provide feedback to program team, follow up and amend the submissions where applicable
• Adapt to high-level Premarket strategy, stay in-line with regulatory development and emerging regulations
• Support local OTR in case of unexpected product holds, understand / translate the issue, start non-NPI submission cycle where needed or start hold release communication with PRA where needed
• Participate in modality Op-Mech meetings, provide updates from RA perspective, ask feedback, sync up submission agenda with business priorities
• Support Com-Ops for tender requirements & deliverables where necessary
• Support ITC for RA relevant documents where necessary
Qualifications/Requirements
• Masters students in Regulatory Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Legal Studies, Law, Nursing, Physician Assistance, Pharmaceutical Science, Pharmacy.
• Should be a student during the internship period. Students who already graduated earlier this year or graduating prior to the internship period will not qualify.
• Candidate must be studying in the same country as the location of the internship (as we do not provide sponsorships or visa)
• Good leadership skills
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision on projects and activities
• Ability to prioritize, plan & evaluate deliverables
• Knowledge & experience conducting scientific, regulatory, legal, or business research.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate in English, French and Arabic in an easy to understand manner
• Experience using spreadsheet and presentation software
