Role Summary/Purpose
In this role you will be part of GE’s Renewables OnShore Wind Projects organization. You will be performing commissioning and service activities on wind turbine generators (WTG) and its ancillary equipment throughout Europe and the SSA region. The role includes, among others, the following responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities
· Commissioning and servicing of wind turbine equipment
· Performance of trial-run operations and equipment test procedures
· Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical or system malfunctions
· Documentation and reporting
· Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams (installation, project management, engineering etc.)
· Maintain and follow safety and quality procedures
Qualifications/Requirements
· Certified electrical engineer, technician or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience
· Professional experience performing aspects of Commissioning work on WTGs
· Ability and confidence to work at height (includes physical fitness to climb) and at remote domestic or international sites in adverse weather conditions
· Ability and willingness to work in a rotational shift system (e.g. 3,5 weeks on site, 1 weeks off), including weekends and public holidays or on-call duty
· Unrestricted EU work permit and a valid driving license (EU class B, BE)
· English fluency (Level B2), particularly technical English, other languages (German, Spanish, French) are a plus
