Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, the Data Analyst will design, develop, and manage data reports, analytics, and required data visualization tools in support of GE Healthcare’s Service business. This position is an important member of the Reporting Center of Excellence and will support both internal and customer facing reporting needs.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Define reporting criteria and
parameters, drawing data from multiple data sources (i.e. Oracle, GLPROD,
Siebel, ServEcost, HR3, GE Learning, Saleforce.com, etc.
·  Utilizing available reporting
platforms (Spotfire, OBIEE, SQL databases, etc.) to manage relevant data,
create graphical and visual interpretations of the data, and turn them into reports
and dashboards reflecting key performance indicators.
·  Validate reporting data sources and
ensure data quality meets required specifications. 
·  Ensure appropriate linkages to
required systems.
·  Responsible for the control,
integrity, and accessibility of the database file structure of one or more
databases with multiple concurrent users.
·  Data/report issue resolution:  document database specifications, provide fault
isolation and resolution. 
·  Enhance database and reports for
optimum performance & client impact.
·  Develop system maintenance Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and perform associated maintenance activities.
·  Follow design quality procedures and
develop project specific deliverable timelines. 
·  Provide project updates in
accordance with GE phase review discipline guidelines.
·  Coordinate with field personnel
(Directors of Service, Service Program Managers, Sales, & Field Engineers)
to gather design specifications, create prototypes, and validate data
·  Design, Develop, and release
enterprise web systems using Java and SQL databases.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  BS degree in management information systems, Computer Science, or related technical discipline or equivalent. 
·  Minimum 4 years of IT experience; with two years’ experience in a business intelligence developer role being the most recent one.
·  Legal authorization to work in the United States  
·  You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history and educational background  
·  Willingness to take a drug test 
·  Willingness to submit to a check of driving record.
Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in content
& knowledge management.
·  Knowledge of GE Healthcare service delivery processes.
·  Siebel CRM Experience.
·  Ability to identify and establish cause-effect relationships
between market trends/changes and implications using the data warehouse.
·  IOS & App Design experience.
·  Statistical tool experience. 
Basic knowledge of forecasting techniques like regression and moving
averages.
·  Vendor certification (Oracle, Microsoft, etc.).
·  Experience anticipating challenges or roadblocks
and successfully mitigating those risks while achieving desired outcomes for
client and GEHC.
·  Clarity of data warehousing concepts like normalization, redundancy, & manipulation and exposure to various data universes (Spotfire, OBIEE, Business Objects, etc.).
·  Extensive SQL programing skills.
·  Expertise on MS Excel platform.
·  Data warehouse management experience.
·  Experience in creation of reports in Spotfire, OBIEE, etc.
·  Strong data visualization experience, creating impactful and intuitive dashboards.
·  Self-starter and demonstrated ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
·  Proven Java, HTML, web application development skills.
·  Desktop Java applications experience.
