Job Description Summary
In this role, you will lead the team responsible for all transient engine performance deliverables on GE Aerospace commercial and aeroderivative engine programs as well as future of flight technology programs. You will partner closely with engineers from the Preliminary Design, Aero, Heat Transfer, Systems, Steady-State Performance, Engine Operability, and Controls disciplines to drive program execution and technical excellence on the assigned programs.

Roles and Responsibilities
· Promote a culture of safety in all activities and products
· Work cross-functionally to ensure engine transient performance requirements and program milestones are met on assigned programs
· Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentoring to team members
· Promote technical training and facilitate career growth of engineers within the organization
· Push the state-of-the-art by driving technology and process improvements within the transient performance discipline
· Foster a culture of inclusion and respect
· Promote strong team engagement across the Integrated Performance & Operability organization
· Leverage Lean principles to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency across the organization
· Lead commercial transient performance production & field support activities
· Lead hiring activities within organization
· Manage program cost and milestones as well as business operational metrics
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from accredited university
· At least 10 years in an engineering position with a minimum of 2 years in Operability, Transient Performance, Steady-State Performance, Controls or adjacent disciplines
· Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Desired Characteristics
· Master’s Degree and/or Ph.D. in engineering or related field
· Experience leading teams
· Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams
· Strong Background in Lean or GE FLIGHT DECK principles
· Experience integrating with performance adjacent aero-thermal disciplines
· Strong program management skills
· Strong business acumen and customer mindset
