Essential Responsibilities
The Position:
As the Tool and Workstation Engineering Intern you will be joining a fast-paced and digitally inclined environment as part of the Manufacturing team. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of Power Generation and gain knowledge on reciprocating gas engines. You will gain exposure supporting the machining and assembly functions and assist the greater organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant.
Nature of work:
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
• Work with team to define workstation layouts
• Develop and create tool layouts and shadowboards
• Assist in tool and fixture design and procurement
• Define work instructions and procedures for workstation changes
Qualifications/Requirements
Do you qualify? We are seeking…
Skills:
• Individuals with less than 2 years of work experience (outside of co-op/internship/summer work experience);
• Strong computer skills
• Experience with hand tools
• Knowledge in process documentation and work instruction creation
• CAD software experience & familiarity with CNC machines would be ideal
Education:
• College, or University degree in course of completion in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical and Manufacturing) or equivalent related discipline
• Open to both current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the work term and recent graduates who have completed their studies within the past 2 years.
