The GA LATAM – Telecom Sales Manager – Latin America is an experienced professional in the Electric Utilities Telecommunications area with experience in CIC – Critical Infrastructure Communications that includes Wireless Radios for Distribution Network Automation, AMI – Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Multiplexers and Fiber Optic Communication. This person will report to the LAM Sales Director and is responsible to sell GE VERNOVA Grid Automation CIC – Critical Infrastructure Communications portfolio, utilize your understanding and experience to execute business objectives, and have the capability to deliver short-term and some long-term business results. Your profile is of a Self-starter, positive attitude, committed to the success of the business.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Quarterly sales results of CIC – Critical Infrastructure Communications for Latin America, with such responsibilities:
· Directly manage a network of Sales Engineers based in various countries of Latin America. This sales force coordinate activities to the Country Sales Leader and you will be responsible to coordinate the strategy/priorities/actions with the Sales Engineers and the Country Sales Leaders to meet the sales targets.
· Meet quarterly Orders targets through the development of opportunities in end-users (utility companies), Communications Integrators and other indirect channels from early specification all the way through contract/PO registration.
· Prospect and articulate opportunities in the assigned geographic area. Keep a detailed and updated project pipeline for LAM. Accountability for providing, committing, and delivering orders forecasts for LAM.
· You will be the main link between the LAM region and the CIC – Critical Infrastructure Communications Global Management. Your role will be to discuss CIC – Critical Infrastructure Communications portfolio strategy for LAM, competitors, market trends, new products needed, support needed, resolution of problems that require the Global team involvement.
· Responsible for the development of new leads in the Region and segments like Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Mining, Railways and Oil & Gas. Directly with End-Users or partnering with Integrators, OEMs or Channels Partners.
· Manage a network of business partners, distributors, and resellers in his assigned region.
· Participate, provide leadership and be accountable for the technical and commercial offers prepared by the Tendering team and negotiate the cost with the manufacturing units.
· Coordinate actions with Country Sales Leaders and Sales Engineers for products strategy, promotion, workshops, and pricing.
· Technical presentations, development of the sales strategy in your geographic area and develop a strong customer relationship.
· Coordination with other GE units to increase pipeline.
· Provide an essential link from the customer to commercial operations, engineering, and product development teams.
· Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations and within GE.
· Manage expenses within budget.
· Ability to make effective Customer presentations.
· Quality and consistency of the data introduced in company’s Sales Force CRM.
· Support of management on company’s governance rhythm
Role Summary/Purpose
· Lead the Sales of a portfolio of products across different countries/customers in Latin America and through the regional teams. Also, Customer facing staff responsible for winning business.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Degree in electronic or electrical engineering, Telecomm Engineering, or related degree
· Commercial experience in Wireless Radios for Distribution Network Automation, AMI – Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Multiplexers and Fiber Optic Communication
· Ability and willingness to travel more than 30% of the time.
· Fluent in English and Spanish
· Native in Portuguese.
