Role Summary/Purpose
Highly visible, fast-paced project manager role leading the design, delivery & support of GE's digital Crotonville platform, a learning exchange that creates a one-stop shop for learning within the company with Partner catalog by multiple external vendors. This is a fast changing hands on technical project manager position requiring hands-on technical and project management work with extensive communication across all levels of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
· Work with Product Leadership Team to translate the business vision into long term strategies & roadmap
Manage RFP/technical evaluation of digital learning products like Pathgather, Edcast, etc
· Establish and manage project schedules, identify key milestone dates & critical path tasks to ensure completion of all deliverables within the required timeframe.
· Deep hands on technical background for Web based applications using frontend technologies like Drupal, WordPress, JavaScript, HTML5
· Lead all phases of SDLC process including but not limited to analysis, design, and testing, of infrastructure/platform code associated with Learning application deployments
· Define quality metrics, best practices and coding patterns, and provides deep expertise on developing products using Drupal and other front end technologies
· Define the nonfunctional requirements associated with the systems working closely with architects and technical leadership
· Conduct lessons learned and continuous improvement at the end of the project.
· Find opportunities for collaboration across groups in the division, ensures that cross-team commitments are set, and achieves scale in his or her work efforts by enabling the work of others
· Manage new technology implementations and/or technical architecture projects for the long-term needs or for risk mitigations
· Serve as primary point of contact between technical and business team, working closely various functional teams to create an open and cordial working environment with the reports/contract resources.
