Role Summary/Purpose

Actively participate with the operations task and understand the opportunities for improvement, to make the proposals for change and eliminate conditions classified as garbage in the production process LEAN. These proposals for change must be evaluated by the production leaders. The reduction greater than 10% in the execution times and cost of the projects studied must be achievement.
Essential Responsibilities

·  The intern experiences will provide opportunities to develop the fundamental skills and knowledge related to Manufacturing Process as well as relations with other areas within the company. 
·  Will work with the Engineering team on a variety of business related projects. 
·  Create database to load all IT plans, Prod Order and WI. 
·  Create operation folders more easily and avoid rework. 
·  Create the mechanism so that the progress of the projects is generated automatically with the time reports. 
·  Verify and correct compliance with quality procedures. 
·  Implement LEAN project for standard tasks of each service in ST area.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Engineering student currently enrolled in a degree program in an accredited college or university, mechanical, Electrical, Industrial engineer.
·  Outstanding technical and writing skills in English and Spanish.
·  Fluent in English language.
·  Team work focused.
·  Able to work 30 hours per week during academic semesters.
·  Ideally student coursing 8th to 10th semester of academic bachelor's degree.
Desired Characteristics

·  Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and concisely and work with all levels of GE management.
·  Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes.
·  Knowledge of the lean manufacturing.
