Role Summary/Purpose
GE Energy Financial Services (EFS), the energy investment arm of GE Capital, is recruiting Summer Analysts for a 10-week internship. The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated individual interested in the energy sector.
Essential Responsibilities
Opportunities in portfolio management and investment underwriting exist in the Oil & Gas, Midstream, Renewables, and Power sectors. These teams provide and manage financial solutions across the capital spectrum ranging from debt to private equity. Summer analysts will be exposed to financial modeling, deal documentation, asset acquisitions/sales, and regulatory compliance. In addition, summer analysts will be exposed to a network of over 300,000 GE professionals and leaders worldwide.
• Analyze and/or develop financial models and projections
• Conduct industry/company research and analysis
• Perform asset valuation analysis
• Assist in preparation of credit requests and other deal specific documentation
• Maintain deal management information systems that are leveraged for the preparation of internal reports
• Independently develop and execute projects aimed at improving business processes
• Primary and secondary account management of debt and equity transactions
• Review operating and financial results of project companies
• Assist in the underwriting of new transactions
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Anticipated graduation in Spring/Summer 2019 from a bachelor’s program
• Majors: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics or related
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Undergraduate/rising senior
• Experience working with, proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
