Role Summary/Purpose
Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Customer Field Superintendent, Duties can vary between onshore and offshore locations depending on complexity and criticality.
Essential Responsibilities
Subsea BOP Maintenance Superintendent is a point of contact for the customer, actively participating in between Well Maintenance planning, provides input concerning BHGE system installed base at fleet level, responsible for all technical/operational aspects and ensure testing procedures for BOP are in compliance with company and regulatory procedures, and safely manage / lead plan and unplanned events.
As the Subsea BOP Maintenance Superintendent, you will:
• Promote and ensure compliance to BHGE and regulatory HSE requirements at all times.
• Implement operation safety policy instructions and conduct field work in compliance with all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) applicable regulations and employee safety practices
• Ensure operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controller-ship and compliance
• Lead Six Sigma process improvements
• Be accountable for training, mentoring and developing the Lead Field Service Engineer
• Will conduct performance reviews to ensure continuous improvement of skill-set
• Be accountable to coordinate and direct the specialists on his team to promote the success of the process on each rig; driving lessons learned and fleet wide continuous improvement
• Be responsible for interfacing with customer providing technical view and assisting during planning phase
• Be responsible to maintain and support the rig’s schedule as directed by Customer CSA Manager and Global Field Services Leader and allocate specialists suitably
• Be responsible for interfacing with client and operator to provide system level assistance and job execution (per fleet / rig) progress
• Be responsible for directing and managing offshore teams during planned and unplanned (rig down) events
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with significant years of experience in a field services position)
• Significant years of oil industry experience
• Track record of identifying, developing and executing business critical initiatives and strategies
• Strong Well Control System operational background and experience
• Project management or program management experience
