Strategic Sourcing lead is a key stakeholder for APAC business development.He or she will lead strategic sourcing team & activities to support GEV PCS on his cost competitiveness thru supporting ITO to increase order intake/Gross Margin, and his business margin expansion thru OTR and projects execution.
He or she will use experience and expertise to develop and execute objectives for self and the team to influence short-term and long-term business goals.
Strategic sourcing function covers the full responsibility of the supply base performance, and shall support other internal stake holders like procurement, supplier quality, customs and logistics to operate the business in needs of escalation at least.

Roles and Responsibilities
For key commodities will set up strategies & supply base along with his team/lead buyers. Will deploy cost reduction initiatives with the team to support deflation efforts. Develop and manage team of sourcing lead buyers to provide professional support for project bidding activities. Work with Engineering and Suppliers to ensure competitive solutions in line with the business needs for ongoing bids and on key products. Approve the formal cost commitment and risk analysis in the costing tool and SCB on the major bids, prepared by the lead buyers/team. Deploy all possible sourcing activities to qualify new suppliers with support of SQE, and make sure suppliers are fully in line with cost, quality, lead times, technology and services requirements for GE business. Support other GEV and PCS entities and regions out of APAC to qualify competitive sources, Drive cost savings in OTR thru PO savings and EAC material; Negotiate with suppliers to get much more competitive offers and work with SQE and PM to make sure suppliers deliver good or service based on product and project requirement. Support procurement leader when needed to manage all claims, contractual issues with Suppliers which may occur during execution of Purchase orders, seek Legal /Project or other Stakeholders’ support as necessary to comprehensively manage the challenging Suppliers/ Purchase orders. Co-operate strongly with Global Commodity Managers of GE PCS to secure best negotiation & bundle volumes. Work closely with Supplier Quality function & bring necessary support to manage properly Suppliers’ relationships in case any quality deficiency is identified. Implement continuous improvement actions at supplier Benchmark material / equipment cost with respect to market and competition and implement cost out actions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and better major in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in Project procurement type of equipment.
Experience to work with international suppliers and stakeholders.
Improvement of workflows and manufacturing processes.
