Role Summary/Purpose

The Staff Cyber Security Architect will support GE Digital’s global cloud, customer solutions, and industrial internet initiatives. As a member of the Cyber Security team, this individual will partner with the cloud, commercial and industrial internet teams to implement secure system architectures and designs.
Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will: 

·  Lead and coordinate the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the product portfolio or product line.  
·  Partner with product management, product owners and architects to identify & prioritize automation targets across the CoreTech portfolio 

·  Work to design implement projects to transform products within the CoreTech portfolio through automation
orchestration opportunities  
·  A focus on automation & orchestration and furthering the integration of Cyber Security & Risk management into the native development workflow; experience across GE
Contribute to the development of infrastructure platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses  
·  Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support actives.
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or
·  A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in network or network automation related technologies

·  Must be willing to work out of an office in Atlanta, GA
Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise: 

·  7+ years of experience working with FW/Proxy/End User/Automation Solutions 
·  Experience of designing Security solutions in campus environments.  
·  Working knowledge of NAC for visibility and enforcement 
·  Experience with ESA, WSA, Cisco AMP, Umbrella DNS implementation. 
·  Working knowledge of VPN technologies 
·  Working knowledge of Two-factor authentication 
·  Functional knowledge of Amazon Web Services 
·  Advanced knowledge of one or more scripting languages, Python preferred 
·  Security expertise in firewalls, IPS/IDS (CISSP) highly desirable

·  Recommends expenditures based on the size, scope, and cost of hardware and software components. Assists in developing business cases. 
·  Collaborates with project management on reporting project status, issues, risks and benefits.  
·  Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. 
·  Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. Can identify and raise issues, risks and benefits. 
·  Embraces and drives change by developing and promoting new ideas & technologies 
·  Focuses actions on customer priorities and advocate for customer-based outcomes 
·  Uses experience and instinct to make smart and timely decisions
