Role Summary/Purpose
Stack BOP Field Service Technician is responsible for safely maintaining and repairing all GE equipment associated with the Subsea well control system and Riser at Rig level. BOP FSE also takes part in pre-planning and running/pulling the riser and subsea BOP and testing the BOP in compliance with company and regulatory procedures. BOP FSE is also responsible for managing unplanned events.
Essential Responsibilities
In the role of Stack BOP Field Service Technician you will:
· Implement operation safety policy instructions and conduct field work in compliance with all EHS applicable regulations and employee safety practices
· Ensure operational excellence in the areas of integrity, controllership, and compliance
· Lead and manage offshore FSE crew during planned and unplanned (rig down) events.
· Using detailed planning is responsible to estimate the number and type of personnel, parts required and to communicate the request to Customer Field Superintendent.
· Anticipate requirements beyond those that immediately affect the program and assist in implementing actions to satisfy those requirements
· Responsible to execute the Between Well Maintenance (BWM) schedule.
· Responsible to actively update the BWM schedule daily regarding task accomplishments and variations to schedule. Identify, from schedule, daily critical path tasks and manage/execute appropriately.
· Responsible to provide the daily updated BWM schedule to GE field superintendent, GE CPM, customer scheduler, others as required.
· Review reported malfunctions and identify / analyze any undesirable trends & make recommendations on findings
· Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of equipment consistent with industry requirements/standards/methods.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering preferred, or commensurate working and professional experience
· Possesses strong passion for ensuring voice of customer is included in solutions
· Strong clear thinking abilities and ability to communicate effectively with customers, Field Service personnel and different functions within GE Organization
· Ability to lead and influence cross-functionally
· Project Management basic skills
· Strong Well Control System operational background and experience
· Capable to read Hydraulic schematics
· All US locations will be considered for this position

Qualifications/Requirements
· Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of experience in field services)
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in field services
Eligibility Requirements:
· Ability and willingness to travel internationally, work a set rotation on offshore installations on short notice
· Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
· Ability and willingness to work in a hands-on environment and able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
