Essential Responsibilities

GE Digital Holdings LLC seeks Sr Software Engineer – Cloud (multiple positions) to design and implement development and test software and hardware components of the Predix Infrastructure platform. Design and build infrastructure automation and provision frameworks. Perform engineering tasks in CI/CD pipelines. Write codes that meet standards to deliver desired functionality using the technology selected for the project. Utilize core data structures and algorithms and implement them using appropriate chosen language. Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability. Ability to take ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver solutions while mentoring team members.
Qualifications/Requirements

Position requires Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 4 years of related experience. Position also requires 2 years of experience with CI/CD for software delivery; 4 years of experience with software development/infrastructure automation using Python, Ansible, Chef/Ruby, Java or Perl; 1 year of experience with infrastructure administration working on VMWare (ESXi, vSpere, VCenter) 6.x, AWS, Azure or GCP; 1 year of experience with Load balancers: Haprox, Nginx, AVI, or F5; 1 year of development and operations experience working on Linux environments; and 1 year of experience with infrastructure monitoring tools: Splunk, NewRelic, AppDynamics, or Nagios.
