Role Summary/Purpose

The Endpoint Sensoring Sr Cyber Security Engineer will be part of the GE Cyber Security & Technology Risk Threat Management organization responsible for protecting, monitoring and responding to cyber security threats to GEs assets, infrastructure and intellectual property.

The Endpoint Sensoring team is responsible for managing multiple security platforms for the organization and requires an Engineer to assist with design, implementation, maintenance & improvement of environment.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Subject Matter Expert having in-depth knowledge of implementation, operational support, and administration surrounding the processes supporting End-User Enabled Security technologies & initiatives, specifically using McAfee products.

·  Solid understanding of enterprise AV technologies, complete understanding of McAfee & CrowdStrike policies, their strengths, weakness and applicable usages.

·  Be responsible for the end-to-end security of all endpoint devices on the GE network.

·  Centrally manage endpoints using global McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) infrastructure and CrowdStrike Falcon UI.

·  Manage current McAfee EPP and CrowdStrike NGAV/EDR platforms and updates.

·  Troubleshoot & develop RCAs to complex issues related to incidents & outages.

·  Play a critical role in security incident response and support GE CIRT during emergency events.

·  Be familiar with cross platforms and support efforts to assist users and system administrators in installing and uninstall endpoint protection tools for Windows/Linux/Unix systems.
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

·  Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in managing and supporting enterprise endpoint protection and/or endpoint detection & response platforms

·  Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

·  Must be willing to work out of an office located in Van Buren Township, Michigan or Glen Allen, Virginia

·  If located in Van Buren, MI, travel may be required up to 10%
Desired Characteristics

·  Minimum 2 years supporting cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)

·  Experience with managing large geographically dispersed endpoint environments (100,000+).

·  Work experience with McAfee (ePO, VSE, HIPS, EEPC, MNE, GTI, Solidcore), CrowdStrike (Prevent, Insight & Intel), Microsoft native security technologies & platforms.

·  Work experience on Infrastructure Security Domain with technologies including DLP (Preferably McAfee DLP & Digital Guardian).

·  Strong scripting competency using either python, VBScript or PowerShell.

·  Independent employee who can team with other employees to quickly resolve issues and drive projects

·  Ability to break down large amounts of data into categories and drive projects based off the results

·  Excellent track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities.

·  Ability to effectively communicate and work with a global team including other GE employees and contractors

·  Six Sigma experience a plus

·  Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

·  Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
