Role Summary/Purpose
The Sourcing Initiatives Raw Material Focal will work with our internal Supplier Fulfillment Leaders and Supplier Performance Managers, along with external machine suppliers to identify material risks through raw material reviews, supplier escalation, and data analysis of the Indirect Raw Tool. In this role, you will communicate with GE internal fulfillment and raw material teams for collaboration in material risk mitigation and resolution.
Essential Responsibilities
The Sourcing Initiatives Raw Material Focal will:
· Drive delivery health by aiding to identify raw material issues before delivery is impacted with Supplier Fulfillment teams
· Identify and alleviate input material risks through communication with supplier fulfillment teams and through quarterly raw material reviews with suppliers
· Aid in managing supplier relationships and create accountability as outlined in GE Aviation’s Supplier Expectations Performance Management (SEPM) process
· Work with cross-functional teams across Sourcing (Forging and Casting, Fulfillment, Buyers, Manufacturing Engineering & Quality) to solve critical delivery problems
· Effectively support the usage of Indirect Raw Tool to cross-share visibility to help re-allocate and provide steady material flows for all programs
· Identify disconnects from the reconciliation process to reduce surprises
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing)
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing Initiatives, Procurement or Supply Chain
