Role Summary/Purpose

GE Software is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to work on a number of exciting projects that will have a very positive impact on GE’s business.
The individual will be primarily responsible carrying out test engineering activities for Embedded systems . Responsibility includes carrying out all the activities in the test life cycle such as developing, maintaining and executing test cases etc.
Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for testing a feature and or a small feature set. Contributes to the team and works with direction from Senior Team Members or management; increasing the ability to work independently.
In this role you will:
Design test cases
Peer review of test cases and design
Execute test cases
Raise defects for product non conformance
Prepare test setup required for Test execution
Participate in technical reviews and contributing to tech discussions
Contribute in decision making for make/stop a release
Analyze requirements and report out testable/not testable
Report out defects in products & design
Decision to pass/fail test cases
Break down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks
Demonstrate increasing expertise in application domain and functional areas
Apply various testing types and methodologies effectively during SDLC
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Work independently and delivers testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the industry (include technical skill)
 Experience with DSPs, microcontrollers and real-time operating systems testing
 Experience in the Test design and test development of firmware, and embedded software in coordination with development team.
 Experience in testing using simulators, oscilloscopes, Logical-analyzers, other test equipment.
 Experience with CAN bus systems and associated tools.
 Familiarity with National Instrument Testing Software (LabVIEW, Test Stand, VeriStand)
 Familiar with SDLC and other Quality process.
