Role Summary/Purpose

The Software Cybersecurity Engineer has responsibilities to the development of monitor solution systems software within the P&L. Additionally, this technical role requires a highly motivated individual with experience in creative problem resolution, and new technology cybersecurity test and engineering methods. It is essential that applicants understand the challenges of cybersecurity within the embedded software industry.
Essential Responsibilities

• Working closely with systems teams in requirements gathering and software design
• Interacting with global teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms
• Complete cybersecurity engineering and test service development/delivery with emphasis on a system engineering approach include
• Threat modeling and risk analysis
• Development of cybersecurity concepts and requirements
• Cybersecurity verification planning and management
• Cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Design, development and problem solving to ensure product security
Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree with 5+ year experience or Master’s Degree with 2+ year experience major in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field
2. Experience in object-oriented design methodology and various programming languages, including C/C++
3. Experience in some combination of the following:
• Security engineering for Embedded operating systems (e.g. QNX, Linux, Android)
• Threat modelling, vulnerability analysis, and security risk assessment
• Wired and wireless networking technologies (e.g. Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
• Penetration and Fuzz testing
Desired Characteristics

1. Working knowledge in configuration management tools such as Clear Case/SVN/Git
2. Experience in software platform, advanced applications, user-interface design and/or systems engineering
3. Software development cycle and testing experience
