Job Description Summary

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the site works commodity manager. This role is responsible for supporting the team in achieving a highly competitive bid environment via supplier identification, development and selection, contract price and terms negotiations to ensure cost effective and reliable site works supply chain for GEV. This role is responsible for supporting the organization and maintenance of project site files and documents/managing electronic document databases.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

·  Work closely with Site Works Commodity Manager on commercial bids to align on commodity strategy, ensuring contractor evaluation and selection is completed in tender stage
·  Support RFQ package creation, review, and distribution to contractors
·  Perform comprehensive review and analysis of civil/electrical/mechanical contractor proposal packages
·  Support scheduling of project specific weekly/monthly contractor status calls and log detailed meeting minutes
·  Provide detailed project status updates to Site Works Commodity Manager
·  Collaborate with internal teams to expedite review and validation of RFIs and overall contractor packages
·  Collaborate with GE contract managers to review and refine contractor terms and conditions
·  Support negotiation of contractor proposal pricing, NDAs/MNDAs and master service agreements as well as project-specific agreements for civil and electrical project scopes
·  Drive KPIs:  Deflation, DTP, Quality, Compliance, OTD
·  Support the sourcing and development of certified minority, veteran-owned, women-owned, and small business suppliers to achieve customer requirements
·  Ensure compliance with ite contractor audits
·  Support the contractor onboarding process

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a major construction project environment

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in pre-construction and/or construction estimating
