EHS lead for Horn Park, MS tooling and warehouse location.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
· Lead EHS site program initiatives, policies, and practices for driving compliance with EHS regulation and company policies/procedures.
· Ensure all regulatory reporting and permit requirements are met in timely manner.
· Monitors leading indicators of potential safety risks, such as concern reports, Gemba walks, stop works, etc. and proactively implements preventive controls as necessary.
· Provide technical guidance, tracking and training interfacing professionally with employees, customers, and contractors in all areas of environment, health, and safety.
· Be knowledgeable of OSHA and EPA rules and standards.
· Conducts regular safety audits, Gemba walks, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance while consistently applying lean methodologies in their processes.
· Analyze and report data to assess environment, health, and safety challenges, and to develop approaches to improve and control.
· Oversight of waste management program and storage.
· Administer and run safety employee engagement activities.
· Ensure Life Saving Rules are operationalized at site.
· Leads incident investigations, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation to better server internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED
· Minimum of 2 years of facility based EHS and/or Safety Training experience required
Eligibility Requirements
· Willing and able to work early-in, late, and/or overtime including weekends on short notice
· Must pass background and drug screens
Desired Characteristics
· Use and learn Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams and Gensuite
· Associates degree or 2-year certificate
· 1 year of EPA/RCRA experience and/or desire to learn
· Strong project management skills; ability to plan, lead, organize, and control multiple priorities
· Self-starter, high energy team player with a desire for continuous improvement
· Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside of the company
· Effective problem identification and solution skills
· Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
· Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
· Proven experience and willingness to be self-directed and identify improvement processes
· Ability and willingness to work effectively with others in a team setting and across functional teams
· Customer service oriented; responsive to needs of internal/external customers
· Other duties as assigned.
