The maintenance technician  ensures the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of industrial machinery, equipment, and facilities by designing, implementing, and overseeing  preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting breakdowns, and managing repairs.  The aim is to reduce downtime using specific tools, optimize costs, and improve reliability. 

Key Responsibilities 

· 
Preventive & Reactive Maintenance:  Developing schedules to prevent failures and quickly fixing machinery when breakdowns occur.

· 
Troubleshooting:  Diagnosing equipment failures using specific technical tools.

· 
Plan Development:  Creating maintenance strategies, updating procedures, and managing equipment upgrades.

· 
Resource Management:  Ordering spare parts, controlling maintenance budgets, and managing contractor work.

· 
Safety & Compliance:  Ensuring all equipment meets safety regulations and operational standards.

· 
Team Leadership:  Coordinating, training, and supervising technicians or operators in utilizing equipment. 

Core Skills Needed 

· 
Technical knowledge of automation, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

· 
Problem-solving and quick decision-making under pressure.

· 
Proficiency in various Computer Systems.

· 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
