Role Summary/Purpose

Join our growing Advanced Technology team where we're developing cutting edge technical capabilities centered on unmanned systems, autonomous operations, cyber, advanced processing and a variety of future high technology solutions.

You will be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial, nimble team focused on meeting the needs of our unique customer base while advancing technologies and solutions to meet tomorrows challenges.

Essential Responsibilities

In this leadership position, you will lead growth initiatives and develop capabilities, concepts and solutions that solve challenging customer needs and promote advanced technology and avionics systems solutions.

In particular, you will :

·  Lead the development of next generation avionics for unmanned air systems (UAS)

·  Direct engineering development activities to ensure customer deliverables are met

·  Develop product strategy, including roadmaps, funding needs, and resource plans

·  Generate new business opportunities in the commercial UAS market, working closely with Sales and Marketing.

·  Establish financial projections and forecasts

·  Make strategic recommendations to business leaders and to our customers on creative solutions that contribute to business growth

·  Develop leading edge solutions for complex customer problems in the commercial UAS market

·  Work across the GE enterprise including Aviation, Global Research, and GE Ventures to create and implement capability

·  Lead complex planning and negotiations requiring involvement of many stakeholders both internal and externally

·  Manage customer-focused projects from the pursuit through initial execution phases

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

·  Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development for manned or unmanned aerial platforms in the commercial or military market (Including a minimum of 3 years of project / program leadership)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

·  Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 50%

·  This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

·  A track record of documented accomplishments in leading complex programs

·  Demonstrated ability to lead teams to successful outcomes in a matrixed organization

Also preferred:

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Unmanned Aircraft Systems experience as an operator or in a program office function is highly desirable

·  Master's degree from an accredited university or college
