Role Summary/Purpose

Reporting to the Operations Leader, the SAP Basis Operations Engineer will be responsible for the day to day performance and availability, release management, system maintenance and for maintaining SLA on all SAP products, associated interfaces and bolt-on systems. Acts a primary executor in responding to customer and user reported applications and issues. Assist in the design, build and delivery of new environments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Own Basis and authorization end user support for all SAP and associated products.
• Follow best practice solutions, standards, processes and knowledgebase whilst maintaining an accurate supporting documentation repository.
• Carry out the maintenance plan for all supported products in line with business operational windows to ensure product support and compliance.
• Deliver best in class 24x7 end user support services maintaining service level agreements and delivering minor enhancements and system improvements.
• Work with CAS, compliance teams and external auditors to provide data and processes for audit and reviews to meet annual and ad-hoc requirements.
• Use leadership and guidance to develop the partner operations team.
• Utilize and maintain automated system monitoring and alerting for proactive discovery and issue resolution utilizing Solution Manager and other tools.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Engineering/Business Management with minimum 3+ years of SAP Basis hands on operational work experience working on large enterprise systems.
• Experience in new implementations / roll-out /Enhancements and Support.
• Experience in all technical aspects of SAP environment including design, build, performance tuning and operations.
• Operational experience of supporting multiple SAP products and versions including but not limited to ECC, BW, CRM, GRC, APO, PO and Solution Manager; on multiple OS (Unix, Linux, AIX, AS/400, Windows) and DB (Oracle, DB2, MaxDB, MSSQL) platforms.
• Experience contributing to and working in a Global technical team.
• Experience in working with globally distributed multi-cultural teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Highly motivated, Self-starter.
