Job Description Summary

Responsible for mechanical disassembly, inspection and assembly of Wind turbine components in the GE Vernova – Noblejas site for wind turbine repairs. Will report to the Shop Operations Leader.

Role description

- Certificate of superior education in mechatronics.

- Knowledgeable about corrections processes in mechanical gears.

- Working experience with grinding machines.

- Support warehouse manager with parts availability for operations and maintain inventory.

- Check tools availability for operations, including tools order.

- Cranes coordination as required.

- Continuous improvement of area operations.

- Assist with technical issues, escalation and follow up through engineering NCR, jidoka, CAPA.

- Implement measures to reduce cost and to increase productivity.

- Work to maintain and develop highest level of industrial standard best practices.

- Technical issues ownership, escalation and follow up through jidoka/NCR/CAPA

- Collaboration with other functions to improve processes.

- Responsibility for EHS & Quality performance of the Workshop.

- Site Safety rules application.

- EHS documentation for operations on place.

- EHS equipment provisioning and inspections.

- Support timesheet.

- Check quality documentation, new WDI creation.

Required qualifications:

- Certified in the use of lifting equipment, such as overhead wall cranes. As well as lifting methods and practices using slings, hooks, chains, etc.

- Trained on bearings assembly practices, including clearance and preload calculation.

- Trained in the use of sealing and adhesiveness for bearings assembly.

- Trained in hoses manufacturing and testing.

Desired characteristics:

- Ability to read, understand, and follow mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.

- Self-motivated to work with minimal guidance.

- Ability and willingness to work at heights and confined spaces, not limited to unnatural positions in order to reach tight spots.
