Job Description Summary
The Regional Procurement & Logistics Leader (PLL) is responsible for the overall Procurement and Logistics execution of MENAT GA portfolio.
PLL will be part of the Supply Chain team and will directly report to the Regional Operations Leader. The position will need to interface with key functions such as Project Managers, Engineering, Integration facilities, Global supply chain, Sourcing, Finance and others.
Job Description
The Regional PLL is responsible for:
· Establishing the Procurement and logistics execution strategy of the project at project start.
· Managing operationally the Procurement & Logistics team (between 3 to 8 people) by setting clear priorities, controlling progress, and supporting when issues arise.
· Effectively distributing and communicating relevant project information within the Procurement & Logistics team.
· Participate in simplification projects and provide strong support of process improvement by developing necessary tools to track and monitor Procurement and Logistics activities
· Extract Procurement and Logistics related data from SAP and share with relevant stake holders in a timely manner
· Owning Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost performances of the Procurement & Logistics scope of the projects.
· Managing timely issuance of Purchase orders with full governance and integrity to the process
· Managing on time delivery (OTD) of all equipment and services in line with project requirement and site activities.
· Management of our subcontracted activities with the support of the Project Procurement & Logistics team.
· Interfacing and coordinating with all the other functions (Project Manager, Sourcing, Engineering, Field Service, integration facilities, Global Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance & others).
· Ensuring that our T&C’s are applied to all our suppliers and subcontractors and define the claim strategy for the project.
· Monitoring risks and opportunities for her/his scope and set-up mitigation plan accordingly.
· Producing periodic progress monitoring and reporting to all stakeholders.
· Closely monitor and control the supplier’s delivery performance vs schedule
· Representing Procurement & logistics in project meetings internally and externally when required.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Management, Engineering or Technical Degree from an accredited university or college.
· Minimum 12 years in Supply chain operation including logistics.
· Fluent in written & spoken English, Arabic.
· Proficient in Microsoft office applications
· Well versed in SAP MM Module.
· Extensive experience in Project Procurement, Sourcing or Project Management
· Technical knowledge of products purchased
· Flexibility to travel 30% of the time through the MENAT region.
