Role Summary/Purpose

This first shift position will receive, organize, store and distribute materials. Working to production schedules and work requests, this role will perform picking, kitting and delivery of materials to the production team on a timely basis while maintaining accurate records

Essential Responsibilities

In addition you will :

·  Receive,
organize and store incoming materials
·  Perform
inspection of materials to assure conformance with specifications
·  Pick,
kit and distribute items to production floor in accordance with written work
orders and / or verbal instructions
·  Maintain
a clean and organized work area
·  Report
problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Materials Manager
or Department Leader
·  Observe
all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules and practice safe work
habits; report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel
·  Assist
in the development of processes to improve material handling
·  Work in
a cooperative and communicative manner to meet individual and team objectives
and to maximize productivity and efficiency
·  Perform
additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and company
requirements

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Desired Characteristics

School Diploma / GED
·  A
minimum of two years material handling experience
·  LED
light fixture assembly experience
·  Experience
operating fork lift, powered pallet jack and other equipment used to move
material
·  Proficiency
in Microsoft Office applications
·  ERP
experience

Qualifications/Requirements

·  A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment

·  Basic math skills

·  Ability to understand written and spoken instructions

·  Ability to work quickly and accurately

·  Ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing focus

·  Ability to use hand tools

·  Ability to work to standard operating procedures

·  Ability to work cooperatively and to communicate effectively with production team to satisfy needs for material and information

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

·  Ability to stand, walk, reach and handle material as needed throughout the workday

·  Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required by production demands

·  Ability and willingness to rotate to other shifts as required by production demands

·  Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
