Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Regional Quality Leader, The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems, conducting audits, and providing training to staff on quality practices. The Quality Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues. This position requires an understanding of customer, internal and supplier Quality requirements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Quality System Management:

· 
Support development and deployment of business processes in line with changes in the organisation, ISO requirements and our customer’s needs whilst maintaining integrity of the BMS.

· 
Ensure compliance with internal quality policies and procedures.

Audits and Inspections:

· 
Support internal audits to verify process compliance and drive process excellence, supported by the Lead Auditor.

· 
Support follow up and closure of Audit actions on time

Non-Conformity Management:

· 
Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations for quality issues and non-conformities

· 
Assist in Implementing corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.

· 
Support containment activities when quality problems are identified

· 
Assist in Implementing corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.

 

Collaboration & Communication:

· 
Partner with Engineering, Project Management and Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve quality issues including coordination with internal and external suppliers.

· 
Interface with customers to address quality concerns and support corrective action requests

· 
Provide quality expertise and guidance to cross-functional project teams

Training and Development:

· 
Provide training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

· 
Develop training materials and conduct workshops as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

· 
Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation.

· 
Prepare reports on quality metrics, audit findings, and RCA status for management review as required, at both project and business level.

· 
Update and maintain quality control plans, inspection checklists, and work instructions

Continuous Improvement:

· 
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

· 
Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

· 
Participate in quality training programs and professional development opportunities

· 
Learn and apply quality tools including 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, Pareto analysis, and Control Charts

· 
Develop understanding of GE Vernova quality systems, procedures, and best practices

· 
Build knowledge of electrification products, manufacturing processes, and industry standards

· 
Applicant should work towards ISO 9001 Lead Auditor status

· 
Applicant should work towards Practitioner Status with the CQI

Regulatory Compliance:

· 
Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry standards.

· 
Ensure that all quality practices are aligned with current regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education:

· 
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Discipline, Quality Management, or a related field. Applicants who can demonstrate that they are actively working towards these qualifications may also be considered.

Experience:

· 
Minimum of 2 years within a Quality role in a manufacturing of industry field. Other relevant experience may be considered.

· 
Experience of ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements is required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Skills & Attributes:

· 
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

· 
Basic knowledge of statistical concepts and data analysis

· 
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

· 
Ensure that all quality practices are aligned with current regulatory requirements.

·

Self-motivated with strong organizational and project management skills

·

Proficiency in quality management software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

· 
Experience in the energy or industrial sector.

· 
Knowledge of GE Vernova products and processes.

· 
Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.

Working Conditions:

· 
This position may require occasional travel to other sites or customer/ supplier locations.

Location:

This role may be based at various GE Vernova facilities. Some travel to customer sites, supplier locations, or other GE Vernova sites may be required.
