Role Summary/Purpose

In her/his domain of competence (Electrical), is responsible for delivering on time the detailed designs to the Design Execution teams located in the Unit of destination.
Coordinate the team responsible for creating power transformer tender designs and contract designs of the world class, cost effective, of a high quality and reliability based on customer’s specification and in adherence with PTR Processes, Design Rules and Tools (CDC) and (CPC)).
Essential Responsibilities

·  Provide international quality specific power transformer designs including 3D models / documents on tenders or projects, using PTR Processes (Technical Risk Assessment, Design Review, Gate Review…), PTR design rules, PTR specific Tools and approved Standard Material Specification and according to the manufacturing and testing capabilities of the manufacturing Unit. 
·  Develop and maintain business relations and effective communication in English on behalf of the team with her/his CoE leader. 
·  With the support of a dedicated PTR Engineering Planner, he/she is responsible to deliver on time the conceptual designs to the Design Execution Engineering team located in Units. 
·  Understand national and international (design) standards and necessary design tools.  
·  Expert in understanding and analyzing the customer specifications. 
·  Follow non-conformance reports and take necessary preventive actions.  
·  Attend & lead engineering & production reviews in order to produce error free designs & reliable products, as well as to reduce the cost of poor-quality and ensure adequate performance of the unit. 
·  Analyze customer complaints and respond to them through the Design Execution team. 
·  Support Commercial Tender team when necessary.
·  Support with the analysis of failures for RCA & corrective actions.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Knowledge of the product.
·  Knowledge of the company.
·  Good level of English (Writing, Speaking and Reading).
·  Knowledge of the ITO and OTR process and methodology.
·  Knowledge of other functional areas within the organisation.
·  Knowledge of the domestic environment.
·  Knowledge of the international environment.
·  Professional Engineer (MSc and/or PhD degree is a plus).
·  Good level of English.
·  Exposed to International environment.
·  Good knowledge level of design process.
·  More than 5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical design and broad knowledge in transformer business.
