Role Summary/Purpose
Responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources.
Essential Responsibilities
• Generate a detailed Project Schedule in Primavera describing the execution sequence of engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, testing, commissioning and installation activities;
• Develop resource load plans, sales & cash schedules fully integrated with operational activities of the project;
• Reviews project chronogram and histogram on a monthly basis, develops the integrated master schedule, establishes priorities and determines resource availability and allocation with Project Manager;
• Base line management; Perform critical path analysis, delivery risks and related mitigation; Follow Project Planning Reporting and Standards, by issuing Project Schedule Gantt Chart, progress report, etc;
• Controls the plan, by running operating rhythms with the platforms which will provide actuals and forecasts; Is responsible to manage “Current” vs “Baseline” plan variance analysis, and challenge functions to provide recovery plans and initiate an escalation process;
• Partners with Project Manager to lead productivity evaluation meetings, developing workarounds, recovery plans, and “what-if” scenarios using the project schedule to minimize risk exposure and guarantee that deadlines, budget and quality standards are under control;
• Identify risks and issues with potential impact in terms of delivery time, completeness, sales, by updating Primavera risk register and proactively work with internal functions and Project Team to put in place mitigation actions;
• Supports Project Manager in negotiations with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain whenever alterations in original project scope are made or correction or acceleration plans are required;
• Issues and save a new project baseline, sharing the updated contract and business goals to all involved functions in case of customer change order or new execution commitments;
• Issue regular Project Reports to internal stakeholders and customer;
• Supervises and maintains all project documentation related to Planning available for consultation and auditing if necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management from an accredited university;
Minimum of 3 years of Project Planning experience. Experience as Project Manager desired;
Minimum of 1 year of construction planning activities;
Proficiency in Project management software (i.e. MS Project, Primavera);
Ability to identify potential delay risks and propose viable actions to address them;
Ability and willingness to travel on short notice 50% of the time as required, domestic and internationally; must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies;
English/Portuguese: Advanced level on written and oral communication.
